COVID 19 and the forgotten cities of Yemen; Sana'a and Al Hudayfah

24 million out of 30 million people in Yemen depend on food aid and medical aid. That is 80% of the population and to make matters worse, aid is not reaching them. Yemen is now witnessing the largest humanitarian crisis in the world. In an already crippled country, COVID-19 is ravishing an already vulnerable population with four times the deaths from the disease than the global average.

Currently, the most affected and vulnerable populations in Sana'a and Al-Hudaydah are not being reached effectively. We will be focusing our efforts on the ground, delivering food aid to these two cities with existing partners. IHRC Trust is seeking your donations to assist some of the most oppressed people on earth with 100% of your donations reaching those in need.

IHRC have been campaigning on behalf of the people of Yemen since 2015 when atrocities escalated in the country. In our role as special consultative status with the economic and social council of the UN, we have been highlighting the plight of the people who are caught in the cross-fire of this tragic war.

The United Nations estimates that with more than 24 million people, around 80% of the population are in need of critical humanitarian assistance. This includes more than 12 million children that are malnourished and on the brink of starvation.

The global pandemic that has wreaked havoc even in some of the most industrialised and wealthiest nations, COVID-19 is ravishing an already vulnerable population in Yemen. The war-torn country is seeing four times the deaths from the disease than the global average.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

All our lives have been touched by the impact of COVID-19. So can you imagine what is happening to those already affected by the crises in Yemen?

Millions of lives are at stake. Families are struggling to survive without access to adequate levels of food.

The Islamic Human Rights Commission Trust is seeking your donations so that we can assist some of the most oppressed people on earth who are not receiving adequate aid.

An average size of family in Yemen is between five to seven individuals. We will be distributing food aid to the most affected and vulnerable populations in Sana'a and Al-Hudaydah.
